Swiss Firm H7b1
Launches its Service of Electronic Data Discovery
in Europe
GENEVA, Switzerland, (20 December
2004) – H7b1, the Swiss firm pioneering litigation
support technology in Europe, today announces the
launching of its new Electronic Data Discovery processing
service.
Electronic Data Discovery (“EDD”)
allows specialists to convert multiformat sets of
electronic data files (such as e-mail mailboxes, word-processing
and other computer files) into standardized, uniform,
indexed and targeted viewable document databases usable
by lawyers and attorneys.
Originally developed as a litigation
support technology in the context of litigation in
the US, the EDD technology can now be required in
international litigations in order to process electronic
documents in Europe and to allow appropriate intra-jurisdictional
selection and reviews with local counsels. Well established
as a reliable technology, EDD is now also used in
other contexts such as due diligence, arbitration
or civil law.
“We are proud to include EDD processing
as the latest component of our service palette,”
said Rafik Emmanuel Abboud, H7b1’s Managing Partner.
“This aspect of legal document management, coupled
with our mobile units and attorney training services,
is what we believe to be a core cluster of services
offered to the legal profession in Europe, in the
context of growing usage of electronic communications”.
About H7b1 H7b1 (www.h7b1.com), with Practice
