H7b1 Adds Full Unicode Technology

to its Swiss-based European EDD Processing Centre.

Multilingual processing solution covers Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Asian and Arabic character sets.

GENEVA, Switzerland, (May 29, 2007) - H7b1 (www.h7b1.com), the Swiss firm pioneering litigation technology practice in Europe, today announces the addition of a full Unicode litigation technology solution in its Swiss-based European EDD Processing Centre, providing multilingual litigation support to international legal matters.

Current litigation technology practice was developed in the United States, with technology generally capable of supporting only English or Latin character based languages. The difficulty in using this technology to manage non-English contents and non-Latin character sets has always been an issue in European legal matters.

The term "Unicode" refers to a character-coding technical standard designed to support, in a single application, the characters required for all of the diverse natural languages, plus some artificial languages arising from technical disciplines.

Since early 2006, H7b1 has been using its Unicode processing solution in an international legal matter where data was under various character sets. It has since been used in other European-related international projects, and consolidated by the internal technology unit of H7b1.

A Litigation Technology Powerhouse on the Continent

"With a robust technology solution that supports Greek, Arabic, Cyrillic, Asian and Latin character sets, we not only cover most languages for the European zone, we offer our corporate and legal clients a significant technology leap that the business community has been calling for, in order to remain competitive despite the growing litigation and regulatory climate," said Rafik E. Abboud, Partner and Chief Technology Architect for H7b1. "There is a great deal at stake," he added.
