H7b1 Launches Private Research Centre

European Litigation Technology Service pioneer H7b1 supports the development of European litsupport with a research unit

GENEVA, Switzerland, (June 1, 2009) - H7b1 (www.h7b1.com), the Swiss firm recognized as a pioneer of litigation technology services within Continental Europe, announces the launch of a private research centre, as part of a firm-wide commitment to enhancing litigation technology solutions.

The research unit, fully owned by H7b1, will be a private and independent operation. Its aim is to calculate the possibilities and limits of a still-to-come European "litsupport" profession, in particular as they relate to the challenges of data privacy protection in international contexts.

The name of the Centre will be disclosed at the official inauguration scheduled for Q4/2009.

Europe in the Fast Lane

"While we are proud of our considerable pioneering achievements of the last five years, we believe that engaging more formally in research activities is an essential part of our firm's approach of impacting the ability of the legal profession to use litsupport in Europe" stated Rafik E. Abboud, H7b1 Managing Partner. "It is urgent and critical that the European legal data managers gain full and unconditional access to litsupport data solutions on the soils of the old Continent", he added.
