H7b1 Unveils Advanced Image Deskewing Services
Innovative machine-based image deskew services launched by H7b1 for preparation of databases for pre-production large-scale redactions and anonymization
GENEVA, Switzerland (11 August 2011) – Swiss Group H7b1 (www.h7b1.com), the forerunner of the litigation technology practice on continental Europe, has enhanced and strengthened its paper processing line of services in Europe with semi-automatic image deskew services.
When conducting investigations and litigation data collections, attorneys and risk managers need databases which comply with certain quality standards, in particular when it comes to redactions of document productions.
H7b1’s deskewing services ensure the images in a database are sufficiently aligned. This is critical to ensure quality of productions when large-scale redactions have to be applied. This is particularly vital in cases where EU or US data protection compliance requires data anonymization prior to production, as a deskewed image set provides a higher reliability of protection.
Listening and Valuing Client Needs
This advanced solution is based on a principle of machine-based processing followed by manual review of the pages automatically deskewed. It has been developed by the LIT, the Lemanic Institute of Technology, H7b1’s research & development unit, and successfully used in various on-site and off-site projects related to legal matters in Europe.
Production Costs Mitigated by Machine-Based Deskewing
“Building on our strong technology tradition and orientation, we are proud to deliver today this cutting-edge and cost-saving service line to the legal community,” explains Rafik Abboud, H7b1’s CEO. “As the practice of anonymization and heavy pre-production redactions develops at a fast pace, it was from H7b1’s utmost duty that we release this innovative line of services”, he added.
