Swiss Legal Technology Firm H7b1 Unveils New File Decryption Audit Service

Corporations and law firms operating in Switzerland and Europe can now benefit from an advanced forensic decryption audit service available within the Continent

GENEVA, Switzerland (23 February 2012) – Swiss Group H7b1 (www.h7b1.com), the forerunner of the litigation technology practice on continental Europe, is pleased to unveil the strengthening of its forensic practice with a new file decryption audit service.

When corporate data relating to litigation, arbitrations or investigations need to be prepared into specialized electronic databases, the presence of encrypted files creates a situation where legal counsel may need information about the effective strength of the file encryption.

In particular legal matters, H7b1's new forensic file decryption service endeavors to decrypt the files within guaranteed, systematic and agreed upon limits. This allows corporate counsel to determine the level of the decryption effort, in order to gain a methodological understanding of the level of potential access to the data.

Acknowledging Forensic Audit Needs in a European Context

While we have provided forensic decryption services as part of our standard processing for several years, we could not help but notice a clear lack of service focusing directly on this issue on continental Europe," said Rafik Abboud, CEO of H7b1. "Whether in litigation, arbitration or investigation, knowing the effective accessibility of encrypted files may turn out to be a legal advantage of our clients against other parties to the matter", he added
